You have improved your video effects and lighting I see, and I can hear your words. My next technical advice is about presentation. You were talking about Maslow last month … he talks a lot about “gestalt” by which he means the interaction between “figure and ground” …. in therapy this means the therapist has to consider his or her role in the process, for instance if the therapist had a bad nights sleep how it will affect the way he/she interperates the responses from the client, etc. But for you it means that you have to review your videos with the eye of your readers/watchers in mind. If you are bored, or secretly think that what you’re saying is boring … it will/does come across that way. If you have some essential piece of advice which you offer in a bland uninterested way … it will not be perceived as essential but as not worth your time or mine.
How does that translate into action? It means preparation and rehearsal. You’re a great writer, and you can write a script that sounds spontaneous. You are a magician and you know about illusions and audiences…. use that knowlege …. enthusiasm is a good tool for teachers …. even if it is an illusion.
Remember the “cliff hangers” TV shows that kept you on the edge of your seat and wondering what’s going to happen next week? Are people looking forward to your next ” worth my while” video?
Give the cat …. best supporting actor…. love you
